AntOro Begins Phase II of The Exploration Campaign
Montréal, October 16, 2002 - AntOro Resources Inc. (« AntOro ») announces the beginning of Phase II of its exploration campaign scheduled for the year 2002. AntOro will pursue within the next two weeks the work on three of its properties, namely Lac-des-Iles, Montalembert and Ste-Clotilde.
The Corporation wishes to announce the election of Florent Baril, Grant R. Cool, Michel L. Côté and François C. Desrosiers as directors of the Corporation at the Annual and Special Meeting of shareholders held on October 3, 2002. Disinterested shareholders of the Corporation also approved and ratified the New Share Option as well as the granting of 750,000 options to some of its directors and officers under the New Plan. The maximum number of common shares subject to grant of options under the New Plan is limited to 4,500,000 common shares including all outstanding options already granted under the Former Plan. The officers of the Corporation will remain as follows: Grant R. Cool, Chairman of the Board, Florent Baril, President and François C. Desrosiers, General Manager and Secretary.
A recent decision rendered by the CVMQ allowed the release of 225,000 escrowed common shares under an Escrowed Agreement signed in 1998 held by François C. Desrosiers.
