Exploration Update: Big Red Diamond Intersects Green Clay at Attwapiskat

April 2nd, 2004, Big Red Diamond Corporation ( TSX-V:”DIA”) and AntOro Resources Inc. ( TSX-V:”ORE”) are pleased to announce that Kel-Ex Ventures, has released a follow-up report on diamond indicator minerals found in the Kel-Ex/Big Red Attawapiskat project.
The partners have intersected field-identified green kimberlitic clays in six power auger holes drilled over a distance of 210 metres on an east-west line on claims held by the Kel-Ex/Big Red JV. In each case the power auger bottomed in kimberlitic clay at depths ranging from 10.5 metres to 12.5 metres. It is not known at this time whether the kimberlitic clays reflect kimberlite or a thick kimberlite-derived glacial till, and core drilling is in progress to determine this. These clays are located near a site where a gem-quality macrodiamond was recently discovered in till and where strong counts of diamond indicator minerals occur in basal till. Samples of the kimberlitic clays have been sent to CF Mineral Research laboratory in Kelowna, BC, for analysis for diamonds and diamond indicator minerals.
Systematic follow-up of the previously announced diamond indicator trains at the Attawapiskat project is being accelerated with the acquisition of a second power auger to assist in the planned 150-hole program. The core drill is currently drilling on two 12-hour shifts per day and is being used to test a variety of diamond indicator mineral trains, auger intersects of kimberlite and geophysical targets of varying priorities. Currently more than 50 core holes are planned.
A 6,000-line-kilometre heli-borne geophysical survey has been completed and the results are being interpreted. It is expected that this survey will yield additional anomalies for testing as well as assisting in the discovery of the sources of the five indicator trains containing numerous G10 garnets, chrome diopsides, group one eclogitic garnets and olivines with compositions equivalent to those that form with diamond.
