Montreal, May 11, 2004 – AntOro Resources Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the "Lataille" property which comprises eleven (11) map designated mining claims (“CDC”) located 75 km south-west of the village of Kangirsujuaq, Nunavik, Québec and 70 km south-east of the Raglan mining complex. This property, acquired from Jean-Marie Pronovost in exchange for the payment of the sum of $80 000, covers an area of 416 hectares.
The Lataille showing covers the southern part of the Kimber volcano-sedimentary belt (see NTS sheet 35H/02). During the summer of 2000, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Quebec sampled a horizon of carbonate rock pinched between mafic rocks. This sample returned excellent rare earth values of 0.73% Ce2O3 (Cerium), 0.53% La2O3 (Lanthanum) and 0.19% Nd2O3 (Neodymium). Furthermore, two samples taken from an iron formation mineralized with disseminated sulphides returned values of 0.29 g/t Au and 0.67 g/t Au.
Ministry staff revisited the formation in 2001. The carbonate horizon was shown to have a length of over 2km and a width reaching up to 10m. An additional 15 samples were taken and average Rare Earth values of 0.25% RE2O3 (RE = Ce, La, Nd) were obtained. Furthermore, a sample taken from a mafic volcanic rock mineralized in pyrite and pyrrhotite associated with pluridecimetric quartz veins returned values of 4.5 g/t Ag, 0.13% Zn and 0.13% Pb.
The company intends to systematically sample the whole carbonate zone during the next summer and to pursue exploration efforts for precious and base metals on the property.
