Montreal, February 28, 2005 - AntOro Resources Inc. wishes to update its shareholders with respect to its exploration activities on the White Lake property during the past year. Located halfway between the towns of White River and Marathon in Northwestern Ontario, its western boundary lies on the shores of White Lake (Refer to NTS sheets 42C/12 et 42C/13). The property consists of sixteen claim blocks covering a total area of 2,608 hectares. Its geology is dominated by the Hemlo-Black-River assemblage of the Schreiber-Hemlo greenstone belt, more specifically within the eastern extension of the Hemlo Mining camp.
McDougall Grid
During last summer, the company carried out some large-scale follow-up work using the results of the 2003 geological mapping and Induced Polarization (IP) surveys. The IP survey outlined three anomalies located in the stratigraphic extensions of the MacDougall gold showing which historically returned values of 1,168 ppm Au (Quartz veins) and 1.06 ppm Au (Qz-Fp Pegmatite) – Showing number 34 (Reference : Geological Compilation / Eastern Half of the Schreiber-Hemlo Greenstone Belt, Map 2614, Ontario Geological Survey). Four hundred and ten soil samples were taken and are destined to « Metal Mobile Ion » (MMI) analysis.
VMS Grid
The VMS grid was covered by a geological mapping and prospecting campaign where fifty rock samples were collected and submitted for analysis. The EMH (MaxMin) and Magnetic targets outlined by previous surveys performed by AntOro were covered by a MMI survey of three hundred and fifty-nine samples.
Patio Lake Grid
The Patio Lake grid was also covered by a geological mapping and prospecting campaign; selective soil-sampling (MMI) of the EMH (MaxMin) targets was carried out producing ninety-eight samples.
All samples have been sent for analysis and the results will be published as soon as received.
Future Work
Upon receipt and interpretation of the lab results, the company will select the most interesting drill targets identified by the geophysical and geochemical surveys.
