McLennan Property
List of exploration work completed by AntOro:
Fall 2004: Overburden sampling
The McLennan Property is located within the Le Tac Kimberlite swarm, south of the village of Desmaraisville. The properties cover approximately 953 hectares distributed on 17 map-designated claims (CDC?Ĵs) ) within the NTS sheet 32F/08 boundaries. Access to the property can is available year-round by using the provincial highway linking the communities of Val d?ĴOr and Chibougamau which runs approximately 10 kilometers north of the property. Direct access to the property is available by truck by well-maintained logging roads in the summer time and by snowmobile during the winter time.
This property was never fully explored for diamond potential during the Desmaraisville staking rush in the 1980?Ĵs. Very few systematic work was performed within the actual property?Ĵs limits and were usually limited to ground magnetic surveys and diamond-drilling of the magnetic anomalies. Recent advances in indicator minerals geochemical tracing and magnetic-electromagnetic surveying has provided interesting results when the company took interest in re-examining the region for diamond potential. The recent news release states the discovery of numerous Kimberlite Indicator Minerals and Diamond Indicator minerals.
